"Every bride
deserves extraordinary images!"

D'Wesley
Portraits is primarily concerned with capturing the memorable moments and the
joy of your special day. Coverage is generally provided through a
blending of traditional, contemporary, and journalistic styles. David's
personal style of photography emphasizes his personable, friendly, and
unobtrusive manner. Ultimately, the goal is not to take an album full
of pictures, but rather to tell a story......your story. Your love story
captured with artistry and honesty. David also takes great care to respect the
solemnity and the religious customs of the wedding ceremony.
Professionally attired in tuxedo. And, since all of the packages allow the bride
and groom to purchase all the negatives/digital files , you are not under any pressure to purchase
reprints or enlargements at studio prices.

- Engagement Portraits
-
An engagement portrait is typically included in the coverage costs
and may be done at the in-house studio backdrop, a local park, or at some
other location of your choice. The engagement portrait may also be
mounted to a larger sheet of poster board and used for guest signatures at
the reception. Or, many couples are opting for a "Guest Book" which includes
several portraits bound in a beautiful Art Leather album in place of the
typical guest book. Consider a portrait at a special
place.....maybe the site of your first date, or first kiss, or.....???.
- Wedding Day
-
Coverage can include the "getting ready" shots at the bride's home,
the ceremony & altar shots, outdoor shots at a nearby park, and complete
coverage at the reception. A recent trend (especially on the East & West Coast) is
to schedule "private time" for the bride & groom alone prior to the
ceremony......navigate to the "Ask David" page for more information on this.
- Color or Black & White?
-
Both!!! Today's digital
technology allows for prints to be converted to black and white or sepia-toned.
Actually the digital revolution has transformed wedding photography over the
past three or four years and there has never been a more exciting time to
be a wedding photographer. Traditional color and B & W film is available
upon request but digital coverage has become the industry's new standard. Events are covered with professional digital SLR cameras and 35mm cameras.
Images which are recorded on film are scanned to hi-resolution files for
editing and post-production processes. Back-up equipment
such as cameras, lenses, & strobes are always available. Medium Format
coverage is also available.
