David is a internationally published photographer located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Several images appear in pet care books and he was the principal photographer in the book Ferrets for Dummies written by his wife, Kim.
David has covered over 400 weddings over the past 12 years. " Operating a studio out of my home allows me to keep overhead costs to a minimum and the savings are passed on to my clients". David's home is also a sanctuary for unwanted exotic pets (fair-warning to all with animal allergies). Kim began the education program and rescue shelter "Animals for Awareness" during the early 90s.
As an Air Force brat and Vietnam-era veteran, David is particularly sensitive about "supporting our troops" and issues surrounding accounting for our POW-MIAs. Discounts are offered to all current and former military. Sons and daughters of any KIA or MIA are also offered a significant discount. The photo below was taken at the "Traveling Wall" and is featured at the website: The Wall . The photo is dedicated to Dad....Major David W. Schilling USAF-Ret. The photo is also featured in the book: Remembering Armageddon by R. Bedford Watkins.
"My photography has given me an outlet for the artistic-creative side of my personality and introduced me to a plethora of wonderful people....assignments have been responsible for introducing me to several celebrities such as, Kathy Brock (Channel 7 News), Dennis McKinnon (1985 Chicago Bears), Jodi Marks (HGTV), and to Jay Leno (thanks Matt).
